Meet our CEO & Founder: Alex Devillier

Alex started organizing music charts in high school for Moments Notice, the company his grandfather, Jerry Barnett, built from the ground up. He grew up in the rhythm of rehearsal rooms, gig prep, and late-night load-outs—learning not just how to play, but how to lead, entertain, and elevate.

After graduating from music school, Alex stepped into the spotlight, performing with the band, then leading it. Under his grandfather’s mentorship, he learned how to read crowds, manage teams, deliver incredible client experiences—and throw a great party.

When Jerry passed away in 2024, Alex launched Take Note to honor his grandfather’s legacy while making space for evolution: fresh sounds, modern production, and a new generation of Colorado talent.

From Moments Notice to Take Note: A Tradition of Excellence
In the late 1970s, after settling in Denver, Jerry Barnett set out to redefine live music. A skilled trombonist with exacting standards, he assembled a band from the city’s top musicians—determined to elevate the quality and energy of Colorado’s entertainment scene. That band became Moments Notice.
